When a 25 year friendship turns to LOVE. It happened twice. Hope it does for you all too. #happyvalentinesday to you all," the 61-year-old wrote in his post. Rima responded with a comment saying, "Love you more."

"My forever love," Lalit Modi replied to her comment. According to Rima's LinkedIn profile, she is a well off consultant based in Lebanon, with a background in marketing.

Lalit Modi had previously dated Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen briefly & also referred to her as his "better half" in an Instagram post from 2022. This mention sparked much speculation, but the former cricket administrator later on clarified in a tweet: "Just for clarity. Not married - just dating each other. That too it will happen one day."

Previously, Lalit Modi was married to Minal Sangrani for 27 years. Minal left her body in 2018 after a prolonged illness from cancer. The couple had 2 children, Aliya and Ruchir.

In the year 2010, Lalit Modi left India amid investigations into tax evasion and money laundering. He has been living in London after that. In 2013, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) banned him forever after finding him guilty of these charges.

In 2024, Lalit Modi made serious accusations against former cricket administrator N Srinivasan and his co-owned franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

While making shocking revelations in a recent interview, Modi alleged that the IPL governing body engaged in "bid rigging" during the 2nd edition's auction to make sure Andrew Flintoff was signed by CSK. He claimed this was done to fulfill Srinivasan's desires. Modi also accused Srinivasan & CSK of "indirect fixing."

"Pick out everything-auction rigging. I gave Flintoff to Srinivasan. Yes, we did it. No doubts about it; every team knew about it. Srinivasan wasn't going to let the IPL happen. He was a thorn in our Board. Yes, we told everybody not to pick (Andrew) Flintoff. Yes, that I did-because Srinivasan said 'I want Flintoff'," Lalit Modi told this in an interview on Raj Shamani's YouTube podcast.
