Debate Sparked: Quality of Life Comparison Between India and US Stirs Controversy

Internet users have recently been drawn into a lively debate about whether India or the United States offers a superior quality of life. This discussion was sparked by a woman who shared her personal experiences of living in both countries on social media, aiming to redefine the concept of "true luxury."

On social media platform X, Niharikaa Kaur Sodhi, who is of Indian origin, discussed the contrasting living experiences between the United States and India. She mentioned that previously, she believed that amenities such as affordable domestic help and home delivery of groceries defined a luxurious lifestyle in India. After visiting the United States, the woman realized that a good quality of life is defined by clean air and well-maintained roads.

Sharing on social media, she wrote, "Day 11 today in the US and here's a thought I had yesterday evening. It might trigger some of you. But if online text with somebody's opinion triggers you that's a space you should totally work on and protect for your own energy."

"So the thought is - I've always felt how luxurious life in India can be with: quick food deliveries, 10min grocery delivery, affordable household help. I literally survive on grocery deliveries lol. But REAL quality of life is actually stuff that's super basic. It's clean air, ongoing electricity,  availability of water, plenty of greenery, good roads," Sodhi added.

The social media user expressed that having clean air and the freedom to visit stores without fear are more important than quick delivery services for citizens.
