This incident follows an attempt by a group of pro-Khalistan extremists to disrupt Jaishankar’s visit during a discussion at Chatham House in London. The security breach occurred as the External Affairs Minister departed from the venue after the event.

A viral video captures the moment when the individual aggressively charged toward S. Jaishankar’s convoy. Seizing the opportunity created by the initial hesitation of the police officers, the protester tore the Indian tricolor in front of the convoy while others in his group stood at a distance, chanting slogans.

After a brief delay, the police intervened and removed the protester, along with other extremists from the scene. In another video, a group of pro-Khalistan extremists can be seen protesting outside the Chatham House venue, waving flags and chanting pro-Khalistani slogans.

During his UK visit, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held extensive talks with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy on key bilateral issues, including trade, strategic cooperation, and mobility. Later, at Chatham House, he firmly defended India’s stance on Kashmir, rejecting third-party intervention and highlighting economic progress and electoral participation in the region. His visit was briefly disrupted by pro-Khalistan extremists, one of whom breached security and tore the Indian flag. Despite this, Jaishankar remained focused on advancing India’s diplomatic agenda.
