Congress MPs Manickam Tagore, Gaurav Gogoi, and KC Venugopal have submitted adjournment motions to discuss the deportation of over 100 Indian nationals by the US government. The situation follows the arrival of a US Air Force plane carrying these individuals, who were allegedly residing in the US illegally, in Amritsar, Punjab, on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Modi will reply to the discussion on President Murmu's address in the Rajya Sabha today. In the Lok Sabha, Question Hour will begin, followed by ministries laying Parliamentary Papers. Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Manickam Tagore have moved adjournment motions to discuss the deportation of Indian nationals by the US. Additionally, a new Income Tax Bill, expected to replace the 1961 Income Tax Act, may be introduced in Parliament.

Opposition MPs, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Akhilesh Yadav, criticized the government and protested in Parliament over the mistreatment of Indian deportees by US authorities. A US military plane carrying 104 deported Indians landed in Amritsar, with deportees claiming they were handcuffed throughout the flight. Some MPs wore handcuffs during the protest to highlight the issue.
