Kim Soo Hyun's Agency Linked to Stock Manipulation Allegations Involving Late Actress Kim Sae Ron

Actor Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, is under scrutiny following allegations of involvement in a stock manipulation case and the purported misuse of late actress Kim Sae Ron's identity. These claims were brought to light by Kim Yong Ho, head of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, during a live broadcast on April 11.

According to reports, a KOSDAQ-listed online education company's stock experienced a significant surge from approximately 1,000 KRW to over 10,000 KRW within a year, followed by a sudden crash after a bulk sell-off. This unusual trading activity prompted investigations by the Financial Intelligence Unit and Korea Exchange. Kim Yong Ho alleged that over 50% of the company's shares are owned by an investment fund, which includes a one-man agency purportedly linked to Gold Medalist. He further claimed that the agency in question shares a building with Gold Medalist.

In his broadcast, Kim Yong Ho also stated that Kim Sae Ron was listed as a special related party of the agency and once held 100,000 shares. He questioned why her name was used in this context, especially posthumously, and raised concerns about the potential misuse of her identity. Additionally, he mentioned that the director of the company attempted to contact Kim Sae Ron's father multiple times.

Gold Medalist has denied any involvement in the stock manipulation case, stating, "We have never interfered with the stock price of the mentioned company." The agency has yet to address the specific allegations regarding Kim Sae Ron's shareholding.
