Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Abandons Plans to Offer Condolence Money to Kim Sae Ron’s Family Amid Controversy

Amidst the intensifying controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo Hyun, his agency, Gold Medalist, has reversed its course on reaching out to the late actress Kim Sae Ron’s family.

Initially, Gold Medalist’s crisis management team had aimed to initiate dialogue with Kim Sae Ron’s bereaved family to address ongoing allegations. However, all communication attempts were abruptly halted after a representative spoke with her father over the phone, receiving no further responses despite subsequent efforts.

The situation escalated further when Garo Sero Research Institute released a censored photo allegedly depicting Kim Soo Hyun in a compromising position at Kim Sae Ron’s residence. The image, disclosed by reporter-turned-YouTuber Kim Se Ui, was in retaliation for what was perceived as Gold Medalist’s inadequate response to accusations linking Kim Soo Hyun romantically to Kim Sae Ron during her minor years.

Responding to the photo’s publication, Gold Medalist clarified that it was taken in 2019 when Kim Sae Ron was an adult, vehemently denouncing its exposure as unjustified invasion of privacy.

The photos disclosed by Gaseyeon were taken on December 14, 2019. There is no justifiable reason for indiscriminately exposing private photos of Mr. Kim Soo Hyun and the deceased.

An insider revealed that up until the explicit photo surfaced, Gold Medalist had been actively seeking reconciliation with Kim Sae Ron’s family to clarify misunderstandings. However, amidst mounting controversies, including legal concerns, the agency decided against sending condolence money, fearing potential misinterpretation as an attempt to influence the situation.

This abrupt shift in strategy marks a departure from Gold Medalist’s earlier approach of dialogue and reconciliation, opting instead for legal counteraction. On March 20, the agency filed criminal suits against both Kim Sae Ron’s family and Garo Sero Research Institute, signaling a more aggressive stance in the ongoing dispute.
