Popular Brand Kicks out Kim Soo Hyun as Model Just 20 Days After Signing Him

In the wake of mounting controversies surrounding actor Kim Soo Hyun, Cuckoo China has swiftly severed ties with him, just 20 days after signing him as their brand ambassador. The decision, announced on March 18, 2025, comes amidst a flurry of allegations that have cast a shadow over the star's public image.

“We will immediately suspend all promotional activities related to Kim Soo Hyun and replace all image materials featuring him on official platforms. We will halt all marketing plans involving him and form a special task force to continuously monitor the progress of the situation,” stated a spokesperson for Cuckoo China, known for its popular electric appliances like rice cookers.

Kim Soo Hyun, who was appointed as the brand ambassador for Cuckoo China across China, Vietnam, and Indonesia on March 1, 2025, saw his endorsement deal abruptly cut short. The decision marks a significant turn of events, with the brand swiftly reacting to the escalating controversies surrounding the actor's personal life.

The brand's move to completely remove all advertisements featuring Kim Soo Hyun underscores the severity of the situation. Sources close to the matter reveal that legal action against the actor is also under consideration, highlighting the brand's commitment to protecting its reputation amid the ongoing turmoil.

The swift fallout follows a series of allegations and disputes involving Kim Soo Hyun, including legal battles and public scrutiny over leaked private photos and contentious claims.
