A Good Day to Be a Dog Episodes 7

A Good Day to Be a Dog was getting little weird as episode 7 introduced Hwang Eun-Hwan, who used to bully Seo-Won. Was the original comic story like this? Having a Mr. Bao Qian isn’t enough?

Coincidentally, Hae-Na’s ex-boyfriend takes a picture of her and Seo-Won on their date at the night market and decides to post it online with the story about women turning into dogs, which conveniently catches Hwang Eun-Hwan’s attention. The absurd thing is that no one related to Hae-Na sees this post. If I had the ability to turn into a dog, I’d definitely set up keywords and have Google send me daily alerts

Hwang Eun-Hwan not only identifies Hae-Na’s clothes, but also finds her mother’s shop and learns that her uncle also turned into a dog. He then has a friend take a dog to the vet to secretly install a spy camera, which quickly captures a conversation between Hae-Na and her sister about her sister’s ex-boyfriend. This guy seems to have divine assistance, as he can find anything he wants and get his hands on any video he wants. Eventually, he decides to negotiate with Hae-Na’s sister’s ex-boyfriend to buy the video. How will this crisis involving Hwang Eun-Hwan be resolved and how many episodes will it take?

The weekly one-episode format really breaks the rhythm. It’s tiring to think of a crisis and have it drag on for several weeks before it’s resolved. Also, how long will Hae-Na keep her ability to turn into a dog a secret from Seo-Won? With only ten days of the ninety days left, she will end up like her uncle if they don’t kiss soon. She thinks about telling him every week, but can’t bring herself to do it? It’s quite puzzling. Besides, the story of Mr. Bao Qian and the fortune-telling student hasn’t even begun, and it’s uncertain when their story will be told.

As "A Good Day to Be a Dog" delves deeper into its storyline, Episode 7 takes an unexpected turn with the introduction of Hwang Eun-Hwan, adding a layer of complexity to Seo-Won's past. The question arises: is this deviation from the original comic storyline necessary when Mr. Bao Qian already plays a prominent role?

Coincidences pile up as Hae-Na's ex-boyfriend posts a revealing online story, catching the attention of Hwang Eun-Hwan. The absurdity peaks as no one related to Hae-Na seems to notice the post, sparking a bit of incredulity. The plot intensifies as Eun-Hwan uncovers secrets about Hae-Na's family, showcasing an almost supernatural ability to obtain information.

The drama introduces a crisis involving Eun-Hwan, utilizing a weekly one-episode format that, for some, may disrupt the narrative flow. The prolonged resolution of crises becomes a source of fatigue, leaving viewers eager for a quicker pace.

The countdown to Hae-Na's human transformation adds suspense, with the lingering question of when she'll reveal her secret to Seo-Won. The imminent deadline and Hae-Na's internal struggle to confess create a puzzling dynamic, leaving audiences on edge.

With the unresolved plotlines of Mr. Bao Qian and the fortune-telling student, the pacing raises concerns about when these intriguing narratives will take centre stage. As the drama navigates the delicate balance between suspense and romance, viewers are left anticipating the resolution of crises and the unveiling of untold stories in the episodes to come.
