But there is negative side to this as well. Fans were quick to notice in some videos, that the paparazzi passed rude and insulting comments towards the group. The reporters were heard saying, “I've never seen so many so many unemotional faces before", "They're robots." And when the Stray Kids members took off their coats to reveal their outfits, a paparazzi commented, “Oh, now we have to do it again?” Someone also said, "Now, let’s do it with feelings. Everybody jump". The reporters were also heard shouting random Korean words at the group.
Bangchan, leader of the group, posted a message on Bubble Chat, platform for K-pop idols to connect with fans, the message said, “had a great time because everyone treated us so respectfully”. This sarcastic message was the leader response to the reporters who disrespected them at the event.
Fans of the group are very angry at the paparazzi for treating the group with such disrespect, some fans even took to social media to express their disappointment.
now I’m wondering if bang chan’s hand clap to leave was a subtle way of protecting the kids, bc imagine understanding every racist and disrespectful thing coming out of these ppl’s mouths and having to pose for them anyway 🤬 they don’t deserve stray kids https://t.co/aRmJ6NqUsa
