Netflix’s Squid Game Reportedly Wraps Up Filming for Season 2 and 3

Squid Game is one of the most watched Korean dramas Ever since the end of season 1, fans have been eagerly waiting for another season. Reportedly, the team of the drama has wrapped up filming of season 2 as well as season 3.

Netflix’s Squid Game is one of the most watched Korean dramas and was a massive hit when it first released. Ever since the end of season 1, fans have been eagerly waiting for another season. Reportedly, the team of the drama has wrapped up filming of season 2 as well as season 3, much to fans’ delight.

According to reports, the cast and crew of “Squid Game” recently wrapped up filming for both seasons and celebrated with a two-day wrap party in Gapyeong on June 11 and 12. A source also said, “It’s true that Seasons 2 and 3 were filmed at the same time. To be precise, a long story was filmed, which will be split and released as Seasons 2 and 3.” The filming began last year in July and was completed in June 2024 with a schedule of 11 months. 

Reportedly, Season 2 of the drama is set to have 6 episodes and season 3 is also planned to have 6 to 7 episodes. The drama will be released in a similar way to Netflix’s hit K-drama The Glory with not a big gap between the seasons

Squid Game” revolves around a mysterious survival game with a reward of 45.6 billion won on the line. Season 2 picks up with Sung Ki Hoon who gave up on going to the United States to pursue his own goals linked to the deadly game he won in Season 1. The show went on to become the first Asian to ever be awarded Best Director at the 74th Emmy Awards.

Squid Game stars Lee Jung JaeWi Ha Joon, Lee Byung Hun, and Gong Yoo from the first season joined by the new cast of Lee Jin WookPark Gyu Young, Park Sung Hoon, and others for Season 2.
