There has not been any update as to when the production of the film will start or who the cast will be, but the final instalment will see Michael Chavas as the director, who has also directed Conjuring e and The Nun 2, and script by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

The Conjuring horror franchise started with the first film that released in 2013, and went on to become the most horror film of all time with a box office collection of $315 million. The series follows the iconic paranormal investigators, Lorraine and Ed Warren played by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson who help people get rid of evil spirits and demons. All the previous films have been based on real life incidents. There are 4 Conjuring series, and also different spin off series of Annabelle and The Nun.

The final film in the series will also be based on some real life incident and will see Ed and Lorraine Warren investigating another paranormal case. Even though, the Conjuring series is coming to an end, the horror franchise will continue making more films.
