According to the rumours, the storyline of the sequel will focus on Priestly’s career as she navigates the challenges of the declining magazine industry. The film might also show Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton playing a significant role, now as a powerful executive for a luxury group whose advertising dollars are crucial for Priestly’s magazine.
The original film's screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is rumoured to be the writer for the sequel as well. It still hasn’t been confirmed who from the original cast will be returning for the sequel. This recent announcement has left the fans feeling very excited for the sequel.
