Whether it be the Song of the Year or the Album of the Year, all the categories are dominated by female artists.
There are multiple Grammy categories, each catered to represent a certain style of music. However, the biggest are the Song, Record, and Album of the Year Awards. The top five artists who have scored nominations in these categories are Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Chapell Roan, and Billie Eilish.
This year, Queen B, Beyonce and her album Cowboy Carter have once again taken the lead with 11 nominations. Breaking her own record of 9 nominations previously in 2009. This many nominations hint that we could see Beyonce finally win an Album or Song of the Year award, something she hasn’t done in her whole career, even after receiving countless Record of the Year awards.
Just behind her, we have Pop icons Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Chapell Roan, tying at six nominations each in all three major categories. Just behind them, we have another set of iconic female artists, Billie Eilish and Charlie XCX, with four nominations, along with Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone.
The Feminomenon Singer Chappell Roan and Espresso Singer Sabrina Carpenter have both been nominated for Best Artist Awards at the Grammys. Voting will begin soon, and the results will be announced on 2 February 2025.
