An amazing art director, production designer, actor, and film-television producer Nitin Desai left everyone in the industry shocked with his sudden demise on August 2nd. He was found dead at his studio in Khalapur, known for his work on classic films like Lagaan and Devdas. Further opened a studio ND’s Art World, and the movie Jodha Akbar was shot there.
Immediately after finding out about his demise, it looked like a case of suicide and according to the reports, as four doctors conducted the post-mortem, the police have now officially talked about the same.
Here's the cause behind Nitin Desai's Death
In the statement, Raigad police revealed, “Postmortem of art director Nitin Desai has been conducted by a team of four doctors. As per preliminary findings, the cause of death is due to hanging. Further investigation is underway.”

A source from his studio had earlier informed ETimes that Nitin Desai has left behind an audio recording, "It was planned properly by ND. Last night (Tuesday) he took all the keys from security and told his boy to leave him alone at the Studio as he has some important work to be done. ND came to see him off at the gate and asked him to come the next morning around 8:30 am. He also asked him to see the recording which he said he will find in Studio no 10." And the source further said, "At night, on the sets of Marathi Pavool Padte Pudhe, Studio number 10, he drew a bow and arrow with sutali (rassi), he placed a ladder on the bow and arrow, and hung himself."
It is also said that Nitin Desai requested not to take his ND Studios from him and also specified his last rites to be performed at Studio no 10, as per the audio recording.
