In an exclusive interview with Popdiaries, Sharad Kelkar opened up on many things related to his experience while working on this project. He explained how S. S. Rajamouli was keen to explore the different tracks in the world of Baahubali and his wish to showcase unexplored storylines. Sharad Devarajan from graphic India approached Rajamouli with the animated concept of the Baahubali: Crown of Blood.

Meanwhile, Sharad Kelkar recently got featured in Raj Kumar Rao starrer Srikanth in a titular role. Asking about the kind of roles he is getting by the film makers he said, "It's just how calculations works some times, it's not about the persona I've created but it might be the difference between ideologies; they might be thinking something else and maybe I'm mis-proving them."

Sharad coming from television stream and also giving successful shots in the regional cinema denied discrimination towards actors coming from other industries to Bollywood. He said, "Nowadays, there are actors working in many industries together, in Hindi, there are actors from Tamil, Telugu; the differenciation is gone, the medium has changed. Lot of TV actors are doing well in OTT or films. I think 10-12 years back it was different, there was no middle medium like OTT to fill the gap"

Sharad is also a part of another Disney + Hotstar series, Legend of Hanuman, he is giving voice to the role of Ravana in the series. While talking about any spiritual instances during the making of the series, the actor said, "In my case, I would counter it, cause if I start getting into spiritual zone I might not perform Ravana, the way I performed. I have to be anti-god that time and I can't  be in that zone. I can't be in the zone where I'll think Sri Ram Is a god or Hanuman is a god. I had to see them as a enemy. As an actor you have to do it. When you play a villain you can't be like oh how Sharad is doing bad, you are the character that time."
