1. Can you share with us the defining moment or experience that led you to pursue a career in acting, and how has your journey been so far?

"I wouldn’t say there was a defining moment as much as an exploration of the field that led me to pursue a career in acting. I was always curious about acting, and so, after winning Miss India in ’17, I signed up for an acting workshop to explore the craft. After taking a keen interest in it, I signed up for a diploma programme at a method acting school. I also did two theatre productions. It was only after making sure that it is the craft I enjoy that I then did my debut series with Undekhi. I am grateful for the journey I have had so far, to get to essay a role like Koyal in Undekhi to do an International project this early in my career, it’s been beautiful so far. There are always ups and downs and the journey isn’t easy but it's all part of the ride."

2. From entering to Hindi industry through 'Undekhi' to an outstanding portrayal in the English-Arabic show 'Slave Market', you've taken on diverse roles. How do you approach character preparation, and which role among these has been the most challenging or rewarding for you?

"Character prep and bringing a whole new character to life is always one of the most fun parts of the process for me. The more challenging it is, the more fun it is for me to play. Building a character is like building a jigsaw puzzle, working on different parts from the core, to the physicality, to the director’s vision, the writer’s words and it all comes to life on screen. Ah, picking between Koyal in Undekhi and Lavani in Slave Market is like asking to pick your favourite child! Both have been very challenging roles to play and equally rewarding in their own ways. After spending so much time with the character, a part of it always remains with me in some ways."

"Miss India was a childhood dream, acting was discovered along the way and after pageants so the timelines were not parallel. Contrary to popular belief, the two fields are as different as can be, pageants are about presenting your best self whereas acting is about completely letting go of yourself and being a vessel for your character. In both the fields, however, you have to let go of the fear of failing, and that too failing publicly. In Miss India, you win or lose in front of thousands of people, as an actor, your work could be a hit or a miss, all in front of your audiences. This aspect go being free, letting go and taking what comes in your stride is a crucial common thread."
