1. Singham Again

Rohit Shetty's directorial venture, the biggest cop universe in Bollywood, began with 'Singham,' which captivated audiences with its powerful portrayal of a cop played by Ajay Devgn. The enthusiasm continued with 'Singham Returns.' Now, with the unveiling of several roaring posters featuring lead actors, we eagerly anticipate the film's release. This larger-than-life instalment includes Ajay and Kareena Kapoor, along with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff, adding to the grandeur of this colossal cop action drama.

2. Golmaal 5

Since its debut in 2006 with 'Golmaal: Fun Unlimited,' the franchise has lived up to its title, delivering laughter through four instalments, with the latest being the 2017 film 'Golmaal Again.' Despite featuring different stories in each film, Rohit Shetty has seamlessly kept the Golmaal drama alive. In a recent interview, he confirmed that due to the audience's eagerness for the fifth instalment, he will definitely bring it to fruition soon after completing his work on 'Singham Again.' 

3. Krrish 4

It's been a decade since 'Krrish 3' made its mark, and since then, fans have eagerly awaited its fourth instalment. While director Rakesh Roshan has indicated that he will soon commence work on it, with our beloved superhero Hrithik Roshan set to play a dual role—both the protagonist and antagonist. As our biggest Indian superhero, the anticipation of seeing it back on the big screen immense joy awaits.

4. Housefull 5

In 2010, actor Akshay Kumar and producer Sajid Nadiadwala joined forces for the film 'Housefull,' creating a hit comedy in Bollywood. The success of the initial instalment led to the creation of four more parts, with the announcement last year of 'Housefull 5.' The upcoming instalment will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani, renowned for 'Dostana,' and will feature Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. Get ready for FIVE times the madness!

5. Sitare Zameen Par

In 2007, the movie 'Taare Zameen Par,' marking Aamir Khan's directorial debut and written by Amole Gupte, earned a National Award for its compelling story about a boy with dyslexia. The film's unique and emotional narrative resonated deeply with netizens. Aamir, who recently confirmed a sequel with the title 'Sitare Zameen Par,' hasn't revealed many details. However, he mentioned that the movie's theme remains the same, promising entertainment that will tickle our bones, in contrast to the emotional journey that made us cry in 2007 and we couldn’t wait for more updates coming through us.

6. Hera Pheri 3

Since 2000, 'Hera Pheri' has continued to illuminate screens in many Indian households with its over-the-top comic timings and iconic characters like Raju, Shyam, and Baburao, who still reign on social media through memes. With the announcement of 'Hera Pheri 3,' subsequent updates are adding to the excitement for the audience.

7. Don 3

When 'Don 3' was announced with Ranveer Singh in 2023, the internet was buzzing with mixed reactions. On one hand, there was disappointment for not witnessing the portrayal of Shah Rukh Khan, the major hit actor in the previous two instalments, and on the other hand, there was excitement for the announcement of the third part. With the release of the first glimpse last year, people are eagerly waiting to see if it will do justice to the legacy of the last two parts.

8. Welcome to the Jungle

Similar to 'Hera Pheri,' the iconic characters from the 2007 film 'Welcome' continue to dominate social media with their heart-winning dialogues, performances, and impeccable comic timing. After the release of 'Welcome Back' in 2015, the team has now officially announced the third instalment, titled 'Welcome to the Jungle.' The announcement comes with a video unveiling the ensemble cast dressed in officer attire, following a jungle theme. The anticipation suggests that laughter will echo through the jungle, amidst the wild and animals. It surely promises to be a blend of humour and thrills!

9. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa,’ released in 2007, was a superhit despite being adapted from a Malayalam film. This Priyadarshan directorial set the benchmark higher by becoming one of the most beloved films among Bollywood enthusiasts, combining spine-chilling horror with rib-tickling comedy. After 15 years, its second part was back with a new cast and story. Kartik Aaryan taking the lead as Rooh Baba, will return to face the demons in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ as well, with double the horror and double the comedy.

10. Aashiqui 3

The heartwarming blockbuster musical film from the 1990s, 'Aashiqui,' continued to capture the hearts of audiences even after 23 years. Its musical drama franchise sequel, 'Aashiqui 2,' introduced a new cast and crew, initially raising doubts, but it successfully carried forward the legacy with similar reactions through its realistic chemistry between Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. Now, a decade later, the announcement of the third instalment with Kartik Aaryan was out and awaited updates.

11. Drishyam 3

The gut-wrenching thrills that were introduced in 2015 with 'Drishyam' continued to surprise the audience with its second part in 2022. Carrying forward the legacy of intense storytelling, 'Drishyam 3' is in the works with the same original Hindi cast.

12. Stree 2

After the immense success of 'Stree' in 2018, the makers are currently engrossed in shooting to carry forward this outstanding franchise with the same lead actors, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Infusing the essence of horror-comedy once again, viewers eagerly await its release, scheduled for August 30, 2024.

13. War 2

In a continuation of the 2019 action-thriller 'War,' starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, which set screens ablaze, it was officially confirmed last year that 'War 2' is in the works. Hrithik is set to reprise his role as Kabir, and Telugu actor 'Jr NTR' will make his Hindi debut as the antagonist. The film promises a larger-than-life experience with its powerful lead cast and is a part of the YRF Spy Universe. 'War 2' will pick up the narrative from the events of the first instalment. Ayan Mukerji will be in the director's chair for this sequel, taking over from the director of the first part, Siddharth Anand.

14. Tere Ishk Mein

Dhanush made his Hindi debut in the 2013 film 'Raanjhana,' gaining acclaim for his realistic performance. The character he portrayed resonated seamlessly with the audience. Last year, on the movie's 10th anniversary, director Anand L Rai announced the sequel titled 'Tere Ishk Mein.' In this sequel, Dhanush will reprise his role as an angsty lover, but this time as Shankar, not Kundan.

16. Metro In Dino

'Metro In Dino,' the sequel to the famous and heartwarming 2007 film 'Life in a... Metro,' continues the tales of bittersweet relationships in a contemporary setting. It explores various aspects, hues, and moods of love. The film features a new cast, with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, while retaining the same director, Anurag Basu, and musician, Pritam.
