Veteran Tamil actor Bindu Ghosh died at the age of 76 due to illness in Chennai on March 16. Her family that that her last rites will take place on March 17.
Her final rites will take place on Monday. For the past few years, Bindu Ghosh has been struggling with health-related issues. Recently, she appeared in an interview, where she spoke about her health. She was known for her comedy roles, she has shared screen space with big superstars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Prabhu, and Vijayakanth, among many others.
Recently, she gave many interviews in which she spoke about her deteriorating health and financial problems. She also claimed that she was abandoned by her son. Actor Bala handed over a sum of Rs 80,000 for her medical expenses and also assured her that he would take care of all her expenditures. Sadly on Sunday, she died at a private hospital in Chennai.
Apart from Bala, actors like Richard and Ramalingam met her and provided monetary assistance. Bindu Ghosh was known for her comedy roles and unique body language. She made her debut in Tamil Film Industry with 'Kalathur Kannamma', which also marked Kamal Haasan's debut film.
