POCSO Case Filed in Ulhasnagar After Man Allegedly Inappropriately Touches 12-Year-Old

A 28-year-old man was arrested by the Hill Line police in Ulhasnagar after a complaint was filed by the parents of a 12-year-old girl, who alleged that the accused had touched their daughter inappropriately. The incident reportedly occurred on April 6, after which the parents immediately approached the Hill Line police. Acting swiftly, the police registered an FIR and arrested the man on April 7. Within just 24 hours, a charge sheet was also filed, highlighting the urgency and seriousness of the case.

After his arrest, the accused was brought before the court, which granted him one day of police custody.  “The accused had confessed to the crime. The decision to file the charge sheet within 24 hours is so that the court prosecutes him swiftly,” a police officer said.  

The case has been treated with urgency, as the police acted promptly, filing the charge sheet within 24 hours of the arrest to ensure swift prosecution. With the accused confessing to the crime, the case moves forward as the legal process aims to bring justice to the victim. The police are hopeful that the court will act quickly to deliver a fair outcome.
