After ruling the ICC T-20 World Cup 2024 and successfully lifting the Trophy, Team India has returned to the home soil with bright smiling faces. Rohit Sharma & co. will meet Narendra Modi in the Morning on Thursday. Followed by that the team will fly to Mumbai for a BCCI felicitation and a trophy parade.

After he met the T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team at his residence on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a congratulatory message for the Indian team on his social media handles. 

"Today, 140 crore countrymen are feeling pride at your performance. In the sporting world, you've won a World Cup. But in every village, town and every street of India, you have won countless hearts. This tournament will be remembered for a special reason as well. You played against so many teams from so many countries but you went unbeaten to win the title. That's not a small achievement," Modi said in a video posted on his social media handles.

Virat Kohli Celebrates World Cup win with family

The man who stayed strong in the final stint against South Africa, Virat Kohli, celebrated the World Cup win with family his siblings Bhawna & Vikas Kohli with their spouces & children to meet him.

According to latest visuals from New Delhi, the T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team has arrived at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The team is to be feted by the Prime Minister and hosted for a meal. The team is carrying the T20 World Cup trophy along for the visit. 

Specially made cake for Team India

To celebrate the Indian cricket team's triumph, the executive chef at ITC Maurya, Chef Shivneet Pahoja has made a special cake. Speaking to ANI, Pahoja said, “The cake is in the colour of the Team’s jersey. Its highlight is this trophy, it may look like an actual trophy but this is made out of chocolate…This is our welcome to the winning team…We have arranged the breakfast at the special venue.”

The Indian cricket team landed in New Delhi to wild celebrations from fans. BCCI secretary Jay Shah was at hand to welcome Rohit Sharma and Co, handoing a bouquet to the T20 World Cup-winning team's captain Rohit Sharma.

Team India landed early in the morning. The T20 World Cup-winning Indian Cricket Team was taken from the IGI Airport to the ITC Maurya Hotel in Delhi, where they were serenaded by chants of Chak De & by dhol bangs. Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant & several players seen dancing on the tunes of Dhol.
