India will face off against their bitter rivals Pakistan in the ongoing T-20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday, 9 June. The match will take place at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York from 8 PM IST. Both the teams will play their second match in the tournament but their morals will be different as India will all be boosted with their opening win while Pakistan would have to compensate for their close defeat against USA in their first match.

8:50 PM: Match starts after delay of 50 minutes
After a delay due to wet outfield and light rains finally the match starts. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli walks in to open for India while Shaheen Afridi all set to bowl the first over. Next few overs will be very crucial for both the teams; Pakistan would like to kickstart with some wickets with the favourable conditions while India would like to keep it slow.
8:57 PM: Rains stops the play.
Rains stops the play. The players are walking back to the pavilion. This will be the test especially for the batting side to turn on and turn off the play.
9:20 PM: No Overs will be conceded
The official announcement from the umpire comes in. No overs will be lost and the match will now start again at 9:30 PM IST.
9:31 PM: India loses Kohli in 2nd Over
Virat Kohli, India's powercard has been dropped by Naseem Shah. Kohli got caught by Usman Khan. Though Kohli started with a sound cover drive but couldn't carry ahead.
Record Alert: For the first time Kohli got out in single digits against Pakistan in T-20 World Cup history.
9:39 PM: Back-to-back Wickets for Pakistan
Shaheen Afridi strikes. This is double treat for Pakistan as India loses another wicket, this time Rohit Sharma, another good catch this time, Haris Rauf. Not Suryakumar Yadav, but Axar Patel comes in to on number four.

After Axar Patel India loses another wicket as Suryakumar Yadav caught by Amir on the fullish delivery by Haris Rauf. India now on 89 for four wickets. Shivam Dubey comes in for 5th wicket.

10:41 PM: Rishabh Pant misses his fifty; Jadeja Golden Duck
India is in big trouble now as three back-to-back wickets in few minutes; Shivam Dubey gets caught & bowl by Naseem Shah while Pant misses his fifty while trying a unorthodox shot; Jadeja gets caught at Short cover on the first bowl, consecutive wickets for Amir. Arshdeep comes in for 8th wicket.
11:00 PM: Hardik Pandya Out followed by Bumrah!
Last recognizable batter for India, Hardik Pandya has gone; though Pakistan has made dropped some catches but they have amended their mistakes as well. Hardik scored just 7 runs off 11 bowls. Another golden duck for India as Bumrah too gets caught out; back-to-back wickets for Haris Rauf.

Be it bowling pitch or overcast conditions; India could have done better with the way Rishabh Pant (42) played in the middle. Credit goes to Pakistani pacers for gearing up and holding to their strength. All round performance by all the four pacers as predicted; Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took 3 wickets each while Amir took 2 while Shaheen Afridi took 1 wicket. India on the other hand collapsed with 2 golden ducks; only three players managed to get double digits. Pakistan need 120 runs to win the match and register history.
