How is M.S. Dhoni and The New Animated Bahubali Series Connected?

Fans were quick to notice similarities between the cricket legend M.S. Dhoni and Amarendra Baahubali from the new animated Bahubali series releasing on Disney+ Hotstar.

Bahubali, a popular Pan Indian film directed S.S. Rajamouli, is also called the Game of Thrones of India. With a gripping storyline, great characters and amazing CGI, Bahubali had crossed all the records and was an instant box office success. This beloved franchise is now receiving a new animated series which will be releasing on Disney+ Hotstar called ‘Bahubali: Crown of Blood”.

The fans instantly noticed an uncanny resemblance between the character of Amarendra Bahubali and the legendary cricket player M.S. Dhoni through the posters for the series. M.S. Dhoni is the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team and has gained hardcore fans all around the country.

At a recent event in Hyderabad, S.S. Rajamouli was asked about this resemblance, he acknowledged this with a smile. He replied, “Probably character creators are also his fans like me”.

Currently, M.S. Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) holds third position in the IPL  2024 standings, having scored 12 points from 6 victories out of 11 games played. Many reports suggest that this might be the last IPL season this legendary cricket plays.
