In a video provided to the media on Friday, singer Kalpana Raghavendar appeared to be recovering nicely. Speaking to the media for the first time about her hospitalization and suicide attempt rumors, she denied that her overdose of sleeping pills was caused by a disagreement with her husband or daughter.
Kalpana Raghavendar denies family rift
Kalpana told the media in two Telugu and Tamil videos that she overdosed on tablets by accident since she was stressed out at work and not at home. "I'm making this video to address a rumor that's going around about my husband and me," she stated. My age is forty-five. With my husband's encouragement, I'm currently pursuing an LLB and a PhD. Regarding my music, I'm attempting to keep up with the times and perform at various events. All of that tension has made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep.
The singer then acknowledged that she lost consciousness after taking too many of the medications prescribed for her insomnia. "If I am alive today, it is only because of my husband," she added, giving her husband credit for trying his hardest to keep her safe. At the proper moment, he received assistance from the police and the media. Please don't believe any reports that I'm dealing with personal problems. Thank God, the best thing that has ever occurred to me is my spouse, Prasad Prabhakar. Having him in my life is such a blessing. And my daughter, Daya Prasad, is the next best thing.
She repeated at the end of the video that she was "very happy" in her personal life and that her unintentional overdose had nothing to do with it. Despite this small interruption brought on by health concerns, I'm excited to amuse you once more.
What happened
When Kalpana would not return his calls, her husband Prasad called her neighbors in Hyderabad. The neighbors called the police to see how she was doing when she failed to answer their calls. She was taken to the hospital immediately after the cops discovered her unconscious on Tuesday. According to PTI, Kalpana told the police that she had not tried suicide but rather had taken too many sleeping pills because she was having trouble falling asleep, despite their suspicions that she had. Kalpana said that on March 4, she left Ernakulam and traveled to Hyderabad. She took eight sleeping pills at first because she couldn't sleep, and then ten more, which made her unconscious. Additionally, she and her daughter had a "disagreement" over her going to Hyderabad to pursue her education. Daya, her daughter, corrected the record in a news conference on Wednesday.
