New Update

Box office is back into some action with Rajkummar Rao & Alaya F starrer Srikanth releasing last friday (10 May) though the movie is a decent heat at Box office, its not that bad owing to current situations. Srikanth showed some growth over weekend with 25% jump from its Friday collections. Even the movie is likely to get few more numbers and eyeballs with elections happening in the various states.

The film recorded an overall 25.59 percent Hindi occupancy on Sunday, with the evening shows witnessing the highest  turnout at 36.42 percent. The morning show saw 14.58 percent, the night shows saw 22.87 percent, and the afternoon shows saw a respectable footfall at 28.50 percent.

The film opened at the box office on Friday with Rs 2.25 crore, nearly doubling its collection on Saturday with Rs 4.26 crore, and delivering an even stronger performance on Sunday. Srikanth is one of the low-budget films whose makers are relying on the solid content of the film and expecting a good return on investment. The weekend numbers of the film are 11 crore nett plus which compare well with the likes of 12th Fail and Madgaon Express which were both 6.50 and 7 crore nett respectively over their first weekends.

The only competitor Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes did well in Nizam / Andhra and some of the other South markets but collections should have been better. The film has also collected 11 crore nett like Srikanth but this film has scored a better opening day.
