Raja Kumari, celebrated for her mesmerizing musical talent, recently captivated her audience with a recreation inspired by the iconic "Gaja Gamini walk" from the television series Heeramandi, famously performed by Aditi Rao Hydari. Taking the video to Instagram, Raja Kumari was seen displaying the walk with elegance and grace and making it just as famous as it was in the past.
Aditi Rao Hydari also showered praise and attention on the video. Sharing Raja Kumari's story on her own Instagram handle, the actress lauded the singer for her remarkable recreation of the iconic walk.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's drama series, Heeramandi, has been all over the internet, with every detail meticulously planned, from casting to costume design. Among the most buzzed-about scenes is Aditi Rao Hydari's mesmerizing dance sequence, Known as  the "Gaja Gamini walk." The viral sensation sparked numerous attempts to capture the essence of Hydari's graceful stride. It has been revealed that the one step, a 15 – 20 second clip that has particularly gone viral from the song, is called the Gaja Gamini walk. 

Also referred as the Swan Walk, this backward walk is the perfect walk of seduction. It symbolizes sensuality and grace, In Kamasutra, a female elephant is considered to be the symbol of untamed raw sexual power. In fact, Gaja Gamini’s walk is also mentioned in the Mahabharata by Ved Vyas, where Draupadi is described as Mada Gaja Gamini. 

In an interview, while talking about the walk from the series, Aditi also said that, “I want to ask somebody, Sanjay sir, my dance teacher, what is it? Is it the Gajagamini Walk or the Swan Walk? What walk is that I don’t know! I know in Kathak there is Mayur chaal (peacock walk), then there is Gaja Gamini (walk of seduction), but I am sure it is in all the dance forms, but I don’t know; I should find out.”

Madhubala performed it in the song Mohe Panghat Pe Nand Laal Chhed Gayo Re.In just five days, Kathak Maestro Lacchhu Maharaj choreographed a beautiful dance for Madhubala, even though she wasn't known for her dancing skills. This happened during the making of K. Asif's movie, Mughal-E-Azam.

The character Gaja Gamini was portrayed by Madhuri Dixit in the film of the same name directed by MF Hussain. She mesmerized audiences with her performance, especially in the title song where she showcased the Gaja Gamini Walk choreographed by Saroj Khan.

Now, Aditi Rao Hydari who played the role of Bibbojaan in the television series "Heeramandi" is also walking the same road as these sensational women ,which makes her the third Bollywood actress to nail this step.
