What If Bajirao Mastani Featuring Malhari Was Remaked In Marvel ?

In the second episode of What If...? Season 3, Kumail Nanjiani's character Kingo, a superhero with Indian roots and a Bollywood star, dances to "Malhari" from the 2015 film Bajirao Mastani. The episode blends Marvel's storytelling with Vishal Dadlani's vibrant music. Fans praised the scene for its authenticity and its nod to Indian cinema.

This isn't the first time Marvel has blended cultures in its stories, but this moment brings South Asian representation to a new level. Many Indian fans were thrilled to see Bollywood featured in the Marvel Universe.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently working on his film Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. The movie is set to release on March 20, 2026.
