On September 10, International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) hosted a pre-event in Mumbai. Celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Abhishek Banerjee, Rana Daggubati and many were present. At the event, Rana South Indian Cinema star Rana Daggubati was seen touching the feet of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan in a viral video.
A video went viral on social media, where Karan Johar Rana to the stage, when he touched Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar's feet and said, "We're fully South Indians. This is how we do it." After this, Khan greeted Rana with a gentle kiss on his neck and a warm hug.
Rana Daggubati also opened up about the time Shah Rukh Khan hosted him and other celebrities at his house in Dubai. He said, “Sir, I don't know if you remember. We were four languages and had an event in Dubai at one point. We came to an after-party at your house.”
"He actually entertained the actors from all the four industries - not just as an actor, but as a human being. Thank you”, he further added.
Rana Daggubati also praised Karan Johar at the event, "It all started with you. The fact that you got Baahubali here. It was the first time all the languages started speaking cinema in some form. So, thank you for that."
