Sharmin Segal Recalls Being Asked by Salman Khan to Marry Him

Heeramandi fame  Sharmin Segal recalls about the time when Bollywood Actor Salman Khan asked her to marry him on the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. 

Sharmin Segal, who played the role of Alamzeb, in Netflix’s ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, is also the niece of the shows’s director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She recalled being proposed by Salman Khan for marriage when she was only 2.

Recently, in an interview with a media outlet, Sharmin remembered that when she was 2-years old, Salman Khan asked her to marry him. "During Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, I can register meeting a celebrity (Salman Khan) for the first time. I was like two or three or something, and he was like, 'Will you marry me?' and I said, ‘No!’"

She then went on to say that she was too young then, and did not understand the concept of marriage. She added, I still fangirl over O O Jaane Jaana, so let's not even go there. I was about two years old! I said no to everything!"

Sharmin Segal got married to businessman Aman Mehta in November 2023. She has appeared in films like Malaal alongside Meezan Jaffery, and Athithi Bhooto Bhava starring Pratik Gandhi and Jackie Shroff.
