Shah Rukh Khan to Start Shooting for 'King' in June: Know More

Ever since the announcement, fans are anticipating the release of the Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. Recent reports suggest that the shooting process of the film has been delayed from March to June 2025.

A source claimed, “Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan have made a film like Pathaan and the idea is to up the standards set by YRF Spy Universe film with King. Hence, Sid is getting all the things right on paper before taking the film on floors.”

“The film will be shot in India and Europe starting June 2025. Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix are committed to providing a larger-than-life cinematic experience to the audience and bring the film to the big screen by the end of 2026," the source further added.

At the Locarno Film Festival, Khan opened up about King and said, "It is an action drama, it’s a Hindi film. It’ll be interesting. I’ve been wanting to do a film like that for some time, and I really wanted to do a film like this for seven, eight years. We just felt Sujoy would be the right choice, because we wanted it to be very emotionally correct. We are all coming together to make a cool, massy, action, emotional film."

Alongside Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana Khan and Munjya fame Abhay Verma are also part of the cast of ‘King’. Khan is also shooting for his upcoming film 'Tiger vs Pathaan', another film in the YRF Spy Universe.
