As Singham Again is assembling a grand star cast to move the Cop Universe forward, an interview with Rohit Shetty, the creator of the franchise, has resurfaced. According to him, it was Salman Khan’s Wanted that inspired Singham.
In an old interview, he said, “I’ll tell you what. I made Singham because of Wanted. That was a phase when multiplex had come in.” He recalled that back in 2009, PVR was a new concept in the country, and there was no one creating mass action films. He believes that Salman Khan’s Wanted was one of the first.
