Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film Sikandar is set to hit theatres on March 30. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. According to a report by Sacnilk, Sikandar has already generated ₹1.91 crore in advance bookings without block seats. The report further states that over 60,000 tickets have been sold for the film’s opening day in India. Including block seats, the total ticket sales amount to ₹6.15 crore. The film is set to be screened in 9,128 shows across the country.
Sikandar is set to face box office competition from L2: Empuraan, Mohanlal’s highly anticipated Malayalam action thriller, which releases on March 27—just days ahead of Sikandar's premiere. According to a report by Sacnilk, L2: Empuraan has already sold over 4.5 lakh tickets, raking in ₹9.02 crore in advance bookings. The Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial will be screened in 8,748 shows across India.Addressing the box office clash, Prithviraj clarified that there is no rivalry between the two films. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, the director-actor stated, “Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country. There is no competition between the two movies, and I truly hope Sikandar becomes a blockbuster.”

The filmmaker has previously worked with some of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, including Aamir Khan (Ghajini), Rajinikanth (Darbar), Vijay (Kaththi), Mahesh Babu (Spyder), Chiranjeevi (Stalin), Suriya (Ghajini), and Ajith (Dheena).
