Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently celebrating her 25 years in the film industry, and even has a film festival to her name, where a few of her popular films are being re-released in theatres.
Kareena recently attended an event for her Film Festival where she was asked whether her kids, Taimur and Jeh had watched her films, she answered, "Maybe I should get them to watch something at the festival. I think if I ask, everyone's going to say 'Jab We Met’. Omkara might be a little shocking for them with their father (Saif Ali Khan) in such a role. But may be, Jab We Met. They haven’t started watching the films.”
Kareena and husband Saif Ali Khan first worked together for the film ‘Omkara’, and then worked in films like Tashan, Kurbaan and Agent Vinod. At the event, Kareena mentioned her wish to work with Saif again. She said, “So, when I told him about this, he was very excited. He wants to watch Omkara and Asoka, for sure."
Kareena also shared a funny anecdote after where she called directors like Mani Ratnam for the screening of Vishal Bharadwaj’s Omkara starring both Kareena and Saif. She recalled, “At interval, everyone came out and said you are really nice, we loved everyone and Saif was amazing. And then, the movie ended and everyone was like ‘You were fab but where’s Saif?’ I was like ‘what is happening? I called everybody to praise me.’ Then suddenly everyone just flocked to Saif and was praising him.”
At the event, Kareena also said that she wants to play different roles. She mentioned that after Jab We Met, she couldn’t just do roles similar to that of Geet. She was refereed to as Geet for almost a decade and was just offered roles similar to that of Geet and Poo from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham. She also said that her legacy is being honoured with a film festival just because she did diverse and versatile roles in her career.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in ‘Crew’ starring alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. In her 25 years of career, she has done various diverse and interesting films such as Crew, Omkara, Chameli, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Jab We Met, Asoka and many more.
