Kangana Ranaut, a well-known Bollywood actress known for films like Queen, Fashion and Tanu Weds Manu has been having political affiliations in the last few years. Ranaut is also known for her controversial and direct opinions about other actors and filmmakers.
A few days ago, Kangana announced that she will be contesting in the Lok Sabha elections as the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on June 1. Mandi is known as a stronghold of Congress, so this will prove to be a challenge for Kangana.
In an interview with a media outlet, Kangana was asked whether she will stop doing films to focus on her political career. To this, she replied, "I am good at films, I do roles and I also direct. If I see a possibility in politics that people are joining me, then I will do politics. Ideally, I would like to do only one thing." But in a recent interview when asked the same question, she said, “I cannot leave the industry right now as many of my films are pending." So, it's safe to assume that we still will see her in more films.
In the last few years, Kangana Ranaut has done films that have failed to show magic at the box office. On the other hand, she has been an active part of all the political activities. We’ll just have to wait and see, where she excels more.
