In a recent revelation, casting director Mukesh Chhabra expressed unwavering confidence in the upcoming film Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. Chhabra boldly predicts that the social comedy drama will surpass the box office records set by Khan's previous blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan.

Chhabra, who also plays a role in the Sony LIV series Chamak, believes that Dunki will resonate with audiences by bringing back the simplicity reminiscent of timeless Indian classics like Anand and Do Aankhen Barah Haath.

According to Chhabra, working on Dunki was an unforgettable experience, marking Shah Rukh Khan's first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. The film is described as a "big journey film" centred around a group of people yearning to return to their homeland, India.

In an exclusive interview with Indianexpress.com, Mukesh Chhabra highlighted the profound impact of working with Rajkumar Hirani, describing him as an entire film school. He emphasized the meticulous casting process undertaken by Hirani, asserting that Dunki will be a film remembered for the next decade.

"When I read the script of Dunki, I was blown away. If you loved '3 Idiots,' it is going to be 100 times better than that. I have cried whenever I have read the script. Every time," Chhabra shared about the film slated for release on December 21.

Chhabra, known for his association with acclaimed films like PK and Sanju, expressed his gratitude for collaborating with immensely talented filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani. He confidently proclaimed that Dunki would break all records, comparing its impact to the pure form of filmmaking seen in classics like Anand and Do Aankhen Barah Haath.

Mukesh Chhabra, who made a special appearance in Jawan, is set to feature in the Sony LIV series Chamak, a musical thriller releasing on December 7. The show revolves around the mysterious death of legendary singer Taara Singh, explored through the journey of aspiring rapper Kaala.

Chamak, created and directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan, boasts a star-studded ensemble including Paramvir Singh Cheema, Manoj Pahwa, Gippy Garewal, Mohit Malik, Isha Talwar, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder (Vicky) Pal, and Akasa Singh. As the anticipation for Dunki grows, the collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani becomes a focal point of discussion within the film industry and among eager fans.
