Rupali Ganguly says "Monisha is me" while speaking on her iconic Sarabhai vs Sarabhai character

In a recent interview, Rupali Ganguly, who played Monisha Sarabhai in the iconic show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, revealed that the character is very close to her heart and is a portrayal of her own quirks and qualities.

Rupali Ganguly, known for her lead role in and as ‘Anupama’ and as Monisha in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, was in conversation with Aditya Bhat on Kiska Brand Bajega. Rupali spoke about her upbringing and career journey so far.

In the candid conversation, Rupali spilled the secrets behind the success of her characters. She revealed how she prepares for her roles saying- “There's been no research, there's been no workshop, there's been no prep.” 

When asked about her preparation for the iconic role of Monisha in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ she shared that there was no preparation for that particular role either, explaining “Nothing. Monisha is me.” She further revealed that it was very easy for her to get into the character of Monisha because “I was being myself. So I wasn't acting. That is how I am. That is, I think Monisha was better than Rupali.”
