Produced by Karan Johar under the banners of Dharma Productions , the fantasy drama had taken an excellent 40-50% morning show occupancy across India. The film picked up in the afternoon and evening shows, and collected a massive Rs 36.50 crore in all languages, making it the highest non-holiday opening film of all time. There was a good growth on Saturday with Rs 41.50 crore while Sunday was strong with Rs 43.25 crore. As per early trend, it held well on Monday with  Rs 14-15 crore from 5000+ screens, bringing the total to Rs 136 crore in all languages. The total 4 days collection in Hindi version alone is Rs 122 crore.
