After a long await, Vijay Deverakonda's Liger released which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh (who made Mahesh Babu's Pokiri). Shot in Telugu and Hindi language versions, the film also stars Ananya Panday while Ramya Krishna in supporting role while Mike Tyson is set to make his acting debut in the Indian film industry with this film.

Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar and Jagannadh under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects, the reviews has been poor which led to the 10% morning show occupancy across India in Hindi language. The film picked up slightly in the afternoon and evening shows, minting Rs 4.50 crore. There was hardly any growth on Saturday with Rs 4.25 crore and on Sunday with Rs 3.8 crore.
As per early trade estimates, Liger dropped heavily on Monday with Rs 90-1.20 crore, bringing the 5 days total to Rs 15 crore (including the preview shows)
The budget of Liger is Rs 110 crore which is the highest budget film for Vijay Deverakonda starrer.
