The musical thriller got decent response from the audience as per BookMyShow.com while critics were slightly impressed with the outcome which led the first day opening figure touch Rs 7.05 crore from 3000 screens which is a good news. It held well at the lower level in the weekdays , bringing the overall first week total to Rs 32.92 crore. Since there were no releases this week, the action drama held well on 2nd Friday with Rs 1.48 crore but could not grow much on Saturday and Sunday with Rs 1.86 crore and Rs 2.16 crore, bringing the 11 days total to Rs 38-3.50 crore.
Ek Villain has been made at an estimated budget of Rs 80 Crores and is produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Teleji Films.
