Even though the trailer, promo and songs have received a good response along with the advance collection which was good. Unfortunately, the opening as per trade report has not been up to the mark as the action drama kicked-off somewhere between 15-20% occupancy in the morning shows across the country. The reviews have neither been encouraging which limited its growth towards the evening and night shows, bringing the first day opening to Rs 10.25 crore. There was hardly any growth on Saturday with Rs 10.50 crore while Sunday showed limited growth with just Rs 11 crore. There was a big crash on Monday with Rs 2.85 crore but the hold was good on Tuesday with Rs 2.5 crore and on Wednesday with Rs 2.25 crore.

As per early trade report, the action drama dropped further on first Thursday with Rs 1.75-2 crore, bringing the first week total to around Rs 41 crore which is low since the budget is Rs 150 crore, including the actor's salary and production values.

Shamshera has released in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu on 22nd July 2022 and features Ranbir Kapoor as a dacoit who must protect his tribe the evil Daroga Shuddh Singh, played by Sanjay Dutt and fulfill his father's legacy.
