A remake of Korean thriller, I Saw the Devil, Ek Villain was released on 27th June, 2014 at 2500 screens to Rs 16.70 crore. The action-drama collected Rs 77.16 crore in its first week. Ek Villain ended its theatrical run with Rs 105.76 crores against a budget of Rs 39 crores and turned out to be “Super-Hit” at the box office.
