There were three significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aks, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty starrer Cocktail, Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu starrer Soorma. Aks (2001)
6 Years Of Sultan – Check Out The Lifetime Collections Of Salman Khan And Anushka Sharma Starrer
The debut film of Rang De Basanti director, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra made an experimental psychological thriller, Aks, which had two powerful actors – Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee. Though the film was praised for its performances, songs and different concept, it did not go down well with the paying audience.
Aks collected Rs 8 (approx) against a budget of Rs 10 crore and turned out to be “Flop” at the box office.

Cocktail (2012)
When you have talented actors coming together, you expect a fire work on silver screen. After working together in Being Cyrus, Homia Adjania and Saif Ali Khan were back with light-hearted romantic love triangle. They were supported by Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, who debuted with Cocktail. The highlight of Cocktail was its foot-tapping songs composed by Pritam and penned by Irshad Kamil.
Cocktail was runaway hit collecting a solid Rs 75 crore (approx) against a budget of Rs 53 crore
Soorma (2018)
Praised by both audience and critics alike, Diljit Dosanjh, Angad Bedi and Taapsee Pannu starrer Soorma performed decently in its first week of its release. Surprisingly, the business escalated over its second weekend and showed strong legs during the weekdays. Inspite of big release next week, the Tom Cruise starrer Mission Impossible-FallOut, business of the sports drama saw an upward trend earning the 32.04 crores milestone against the its budget of Rs 30 Crores (all inclusive of prints and advertising cost).
