Much was expected from their next outing Anek. However, it had opened to a tepid response.

Anek has just opened to a poor response with Rs 2.11 crore which is below than Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui that minted Rs 3.75 crore. There was a slight growth on Saturday with Rs 2.30 crore but Sunday collections dipped to Rs 1.95 crore. The collection on Monday crashed and burnt with Rs 79 lakhs followed by a stable Rs 72 lakhs on Tuesday and Rs 68 lakhs on Wednesday. On Thursday, it minted somewhere between Rs 60-62 lakhs, bringing the first six days total to around 8.70 crore which is extremely poor. The budget of Anek is Rs 45 Crores including promotions.

Top Gun 2 rolled out on Wednesday in the paid preview shows with Rs 25 lakhs followed by only IMAX releases on Thursday with Rs 1.75 crore. There was a slight increase on Friday with Rs 2.50 crore. The collection on Saturday was close to Rs 4.25 crore followed by Sunday with Rs 4.25 crore, bringing the first weekend total to Rs 13 crore.
