April 2022 turned out to be a bad month as only film out 5 turned out to be profitable for Bollywood.
Attack - 1st April
Though the John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet starrer Attack earned good reviews users as per Book My Show, and IMDB, the action flick turned out to be disappointing as the film was expected to take a good start and sustain good legs at the box office. KGF Chapter 2 - 14th March
Yash starrer KGF 2 has completed 25 days at the box office with a bang as it remained unaffected with new release - Doctor Strange 2. The action drama opened to an excellent response and the collections just got better as the word of mouth review is solid as per Book My Show. The action drama held well on the weekdays, bringing the first extended week total to Rs 268.63 crore. On 2nd Friday, it faced Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapur but remained unaffected, minting Rs 80.18 crore in the second week.
KGF 2 faced two big EID releases - Heropanti 2 and Runway 34, but Yash starrer continued to climb up the ladder with a stellar support, earning Rs 49.41 crore in the second. Despite facing a big Hollywood release, Doctor Strange 2, the action drama held well with 3.85 crore. It grew on Saturday with Rs 5.25 crore. As per early trade report, the smash hit sequel went up further on 4th Sunday with a stunning Rs 7.25 crore, bringing a sensational 25 days total to around Rs 415 crore and still running.
