Masaba Gupta takes the OTT world by storm; will soon by seen in Modern Love Mumbai’s I Love Thane!

While the wait to watch Masaba Gupta in her eponymous Netflix series Masaba Masaba is at an all-time high, the celebrated youth icon has yet another OTT project lined up.

Prime Video today announced that Modern Love Mumbai, the first of the three localized Indian versions of the widely acclaimed international series will globally premiere on May 13, 2022 in over 240 countries and territories. Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, the new Amazon Original series will feature 6 heart-warming stories about discovering and exploring love in all its shades and emotions. The Mumbai chapter of the international franchise, inspired by the famous New York Times column, will bring home love this season with soul-stirring and uplifting stories that are rooted in the heart of the city of Mumbai.


The anthology includes –

  1. RAAT RANI – directed by Shonali Bose, starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat and Dilip Prabhavalkar
  2. BAAI – directed by Hansal Mehta, starring Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi and Ranveer Brar
  3. MUMBAI DRAGON – directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, starring Yeo Yann Yann, Meiyang Chang, Wamiqa Gabbi and Naseeruddin Shah
  4. MY BEAUTIFUL WRINKLES – directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, starring Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa and Tanvi Azmi
  5. I LOVE THANE – directed by Dhruv Sehgal, starring Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik and Dolly Singh
  6. CUTTING CHAI – directed by Nupur Asthana, starring Chitrangda Singh and Arshad Warsi

While the wait to watch Masaba in her eponymous Netflix series Masaba Masaba is at an all-time high, the celebrated youth icon has yet another OTT project lined up. The fashionista-turned-actor will be seen in Amazon Prime’s widely loved anthology Modern Love’s Indian version.


Modern Love Mumbai will have the powerhouse fashion symbol helming one of the stories in the six-part anthology, I Love Thane, alongside Prateik Babbar, Ritwik Bhowmik, Aadar Malik and Dolly Singh. While I Love Thane will be directed by Dhruv Sehgal, Modern Love Mumbai, the first of the three localised Indian renditions of the originals anthology, has been produced by Pritish Nandy Communications and will hit OTT screens on 13th May 2022.

The Mumbai chapter of the hugely popular US original anthology series, Modern Love explores six diverse yet universal stories of different facets, shades and moods of love, all set in the city’s many unique milieus.

With two highly anticipated OTT shows on the horizon and her place in the fashion world redefining India’s aesthetic, the trailblazer has left us all wondering – Masaba Masaba! Is there anything she can’t do?
