From the visual story teller, SS Rajamouli, who made films like Magadheera, Eega (Makhi in Hindi), Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the expectations from his fans and audience alike soared high when they saw the motion poster, first trailer of Ram Charan And Jr. NTR starrer RRR. RRR was supposed to release on 31st July, 2020 but the makers pushed it due to the unwanted pandemic situation.

RRR Morning Show Occupancy – Second Best Opening After Sooryavanshi

The Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt starrer has received solid reviews as per Book My Show thanks to its absolutely stunning with cinematic visuals going to the next level in each and every frame. The biopic drama has taken the second best opening in Hindi belt after Sooryavanshi beating 83 and Bachchhan Paandey with an occupancy of 30-35% across India in the morning shows. As the day progressed, the evening and night shows did a solid business, which led to an opening of Rs 18.70-19 crore in the Hindi version. With this, RRR scored the second best opening post pandemic after Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which collected Rs 26.50 crore on its first day when it was released in Diwali 2021.

RRR collected Rs 90-95 crore in the Telugu version, Rs 7 crore in Tamil, Rs 2.5 crore in Malayalam and Rs 2 crore, bringing the first day total to Rs 124-125 crore (rough trade estimates). The budget of RRR is estimated to be around Rs 600 crore. 

RRR has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The pre-independence drama is  produced by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment and is based on the lives of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem
