Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has been unstoppable at the box office thanks to the solid response from the audience and amazing user reviews as per Book My Show which led the biopic drama collect an outstanding Rs 68.93 crore in first week followed by Rs 36.52 crore in the second week which was good considering a big competition from Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund and Hollywood biggie The Batman.

There were two big releases this week - The Kashmir Files and Radhe Shyam but the Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn starrer held on to its ground with 2.55 crore on 3rd Friday followed solid growth on 3rd Saturday with Rs 4.56 crore and on Sunday by Rs 5.52. The biopic drama suffered on the weekdays due to The Kashmir Files wave but was stable at the lower level with Rs 1.47 crore on Monday, Rs 1.37 crore on Tuesday and Rs 1.20 crore on Wednesday, bringing the 20 days total to around Rs 122 crore. The budget of the biopic drama is estimated to be around Rs 180 crore.

2nd Week Box Office – Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi Is Magnificent

Gangubai Katthiawasi is based on the real-life events about the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favor. After working together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are coming together for the second film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.
