After giving us a solid and hard-hitting The Tashkent Files, Vivek Agnihotri is back with yet another riveting truth on Kashmir with The Kashmir Files had already won the hearts audience to watch it on the first day itself. Surprisingly, the blunt film had a limited screens to be released for the reason best known but the good news is that The Kashmir Files opened decently in the morning shows but thanks to the mind blowing (as per Book My Show), collected a solid Rs 3.55 crore. This is a very good news for Vivek Agnihotri whose last film The Tashkent Files opened with Rs 40 lakhs but went onto collect Rs 20 crore worldwide with a budget of just Rs 8 crore. There was a humongous growth on Saturday with Rs 8.50 crore. However, it was Sunday which broke all the box office records with a stellar Rs 15.10 crore.
1st Day Box Office – The Kashmir Files Opens On A Grand Note, Radhe Shyam Is Average In Hindi Language
Most of the films falls on Monday but The Kashmir Files was exceptional as the Monday collection with an eye-popping Rs 15.05 crore. As per trade report, the political drama performed the best with somewhere between Rs 17-18 crore, bringing a jaw-dropping 5 days to around Rs 60 crore. The Kashmir Files has been made on an overall budget of Rs 14 crore which was crossed in the first weekend itself.
