Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi finally brings cheers to both audience and the makers as it registered an excellent first weekend collections. Thanks to the solid user reviews as per Book My Show and good promo, the biopic drama collected a solid Rs 10.50 crore making it the second best opening for a women centric film after Veere Di Wedding (Rs 10.70 crore). The earning shot up on Saturday with Rs 13.32 crore while Sunday was excellent with Rs 15.3 crore. There was a good hold on Monday with Rs 8.19 crore followed by an escalation on Tuesday with Rs 10.01 crore, thanks to Maha Shiv Ratri holiday. The biopic drama held well on Wednesday after a big holiday with Rs 6.21 crore

As per early trade report, the collection was steady on Wednesday with Rs 5.60 crore from 3500 screens, bringing the first week total to Rs 69.10-69.50 crore. The budget of the biopic drama is estimated to be around Rs 180 crore. It has also become the highest opening film of Alia Bhatt beating Raazi which collected Rs 7.53 crore. Gangubai Katthiawasi is based on the real-life events about the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favor. After working together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are coming together for the second film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

The Ajith starrer Valimai broke the record with Rs 26 crore on its first day in Tamil Nadu easily beating the previous record held by Rajnikanth starrer Annaatthe which collected Rs 24 crore on a holiday. The action drama collected Rs 31.20 crore in all languages. Though it dropped on the second day with Rs 11.60 crore, the collections went up again on third day with Rs 16.85 crore followed by another solid Rs 19.15 crore on fourth day. There was a big drop on Monday with Rs 4.75 crore but due to the holiday on Tuesday, the collections was good with Rs 3.9 crore followed by Rs 3.1 crore.
As per early trade report, the collections went down to Rs 2.16 crore on Thursday, bringing the 8 days total to around 93 crore.

1st Monday Box Office : Gangubai Kathiawadi Holds, Valimai and Bheemla Nayak Drops
Pawan Kalyan starrer Bheemla Nayak shattered all the box office records with an opening of Rs 37.15 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. There was a drop on the second day with Rs 19.73 crore but still the collections were good with Rs 20.34 crore on Sunday. The collections went down on Monday with Rs 8.23 crore. Due to the Shiv Ratri holiday, the earnings went up on Tuesday with Rs 9.6 crore. The action drama collected another massive Rs 5.4 crore on Wednesday, and crossing 100 crore mark.
As per early trade report, the collections on Thursday went slightly down to Rs 3.40 crore, bringing the first week total to Rs 105.60-106 crore.
