Pushpa, starring Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil, is one dark horse which is simply unstoppable at the box office despite releasing in OTT.
Allu Arjun starrer, Pushpa, which released across India in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages worldwide in theatres on 18th December, has won hearts of the audience with its eye-popping numbers at the box office, especially with the Hindi speaking section. The Rashmika Mandanna and Fahad Faasil starrer Pushpa collected an outstanding Rs 27.24 crore in its first week followed by Rs 20.03 crore in the second week in the Hindi version. The action drama did very well on its third week with Rs 24.62 crore. The Sandalwood action drama minted Rs 12.41 crore in the fourth week inspite of releasing in OTT in other languages. Pushpa minted Rs 6.75 crore in the fifth week while 6th week collection was Rs 6.23 crore.
As per Box Office India, the action drama has minted Rs 1.20 crore on Friday and Saturday and should touch around Rs 1 crore on Sunday, hitting the Rs 100 crore milestone, making it the fourth South Indian Hindi dubbed film to achieve this feat after Bahubali 2, 2.0 and Bahubali-The Beginning. The budget of action drama is Rs 180 crore from around 3000 screens across India.
Based on the story of the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, Pushpa has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with cinematography and editing performed by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek and Karthika Srinivas respectively.
