Ryu Jun Yeol, IU, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, and Bae Sung Woo will be working together for the upcoming webtoon-based drama.
Earlier today representative of Naver Webtoon announced that Ryu Jun Yeol, IU, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, and Bae Sung Woo will be working together for the new OTT series “Money Game.”
“Money Game" is a webtoon-based series about the webtoon writer Bae Jin Soo’s two works “Money Game” and “Pie Game.” In the story, money builds as time passes. The drama will capture the events that unfold as eight participants are placed in extreme circumstances where they are severed from society. The participants repeatedly cooperate and betray each other since the game only ends when someone dies.
It is eight-episode series that will be directed and written by Director Han Jae Rim who worked on “The Face Reader” and the upcoming film “Emergency Declaration. The drama will highlight the fierce mental battles and emotional confrontations of the participants who are after the prize money. It will be produced by Studio N, which previously produced “Sweet Home,” “Our Beloved Summer,” and “Yumi’s Cells."
Actor Ryu Jun Yeol got impressive views for his portrayal in JTBC’s “Lost.” He will be reuniting with director Han Jae Rim in “Money Game” after having worked together on “The King.”
IU has also been busy working in Koreeda Hirokazu’s upcoming film “Broker” along with Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, and Bae Doona.
Park Jung Min garnered the attention of the viewers with his role in the Netflix series “Hellbound.”
Park Hae Joon took the industry by storm with his portrayal in “The World of the Married.”
Bae Sung Woo also makes his presence known in each project he participates in such as “Beasts Clawing at Straws.”
Money Game” is currently slated to start filming in the first half of 2022.
